About Us Active x

ActiveX was established in 2015 as a private fitness and performance centre by Biokineticist and Personal Trainer Andre Vieira. At ActiveX we understand that every single human body is different, which is why we focus on personalised programmes designed specifically for each member’s distinct goals and needs.

Our Boksburg-based facility offers a fully equipped gym with in-door and out-door training areas. We have a variety of equipment to accommodate all types of training regimes, from functional training, to weight training and cardiovascular workouts.

We value our member’s time and commitment to our centre. This is why we ensure that your experience is always personalised and you receive full-access to the facilities you need for your session. There will be no queuing or waiting for equipment. Our Personal Trainers are always on stand-by to assist you with any additional support you require, spot you, check your form and ensure that you are getting the most out of your regimen.

We are not a CrossFit centre. At ActiveX we believe in training towards individual goals, whatever they may be. It is vital to listen to your body and progress accordingly. We do not believe in breaking down the body but instead building it up gradually. This way, injury will be prevented and you will be able to progress without hindrance

Time is money and money is time. That’s why ActiveX memberships are offered on a month-to-month basis, and we only require a month’s notice to cancel your membership if you are not entirely happy. You should not be expected to waste your hard-earned cash on services you do not utilise.

Andre has been in the fitness industry for 12+ years working in various facilities including large gyms and rehabilitation centres. He obtained his Bachelors’ Degree in Human Movement Sciences (Biokinetics) at WITS. Throughout the years he has furthered his studies and gained valuable knowledge on early childhood development, training the elderly, muscle imbalances, as well as, posture assessments and corrections. As a value-added extra, Andre can provide eating plans and guidance to ensure optimal fitness results.

Andre follows a relationship-based approach and engages with each member on a personal level. Not only does he ensure that you reach your fitness and weight loss goals, he also identifies potential problem areas and corrects them as you go. Training sessions feel like working out with a friend while still being challenged and pushed.
